Temperatures will rise into the 80s west of the mountains with minimum relative humidity falling to 5-10%. This dry air along with strong Santa Ana Winds will lead to critical fire weather conditions this afternoon through Friday. The strongest winds will occur tonight through Thanksgiving. The most critical fire weather areas lie along the foothills of the San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains to areas below the Cajon Pass and San Gorgonio Pass in the Inland Empire to inland Orange County near the Santa Ana Mountains. However, Santa Ana Winds and critical fire weather conditions will spread all the way to the Orange County coast tonight through Thanksgiving.

- Strong northeast winds will produce difficult driving conditions for high profile vehicles. Strong winds will impact passes and gaps including I-15, I-10, I-215, I-210, and Highway 91.

The strongest winds are expected tonight through Thanksgiving morning, before subsiding gradually Thanksgiving Day through Friday. The strongest winds will occur below the Cajon Pass and along the coastal mountain slopes and below canyons of the San Bernardino, Santa Ana, and Riverside County mountains with gusts up to 75 MPH. Wind gusts across the Inland Empire into inland Orange County will reach up to 60 MPH. Wind gusts even to the Orange County coast are forecast to reach to around 40 MPH. Winds will subside later Thanksgiving Day through Friday, but will still be gusty through and below passes and canyons with gusts up to 50 mph.
