The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District Paid-Call Firefighter Program is a valuable community based initiative. County Fire is currently seeking individuals who are passionate about serving their community and making a difference in people’s lives. If you are looking for a rewarding fire service profession with opportunities for growth and development, we invite you to join our team.
County Fire is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in all that we do. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most dedicated and talented individuals in the industry, and to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
Paid-call firefighters are trained professionals who are equipped with a pager or phone and are locally available to promptly report to their community fire station, staff an apparatus, and respond to emergency incidents. They serve alongside full-time firefighters and provide critical support during emergencies such as fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and natural disasters. Paid-call firefighters receive compensation for their on-call service and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of their communities.
