Summary:
This morning San Bernardino County Fire crews were dispatched to a reported residential fire. Multiple callers stated smoke and fire from a home.
Firefighters arrived within four minutes of dispatch to find smoke and fire showing from the rear of the home. Arriving crews initiated an aggressive fire attack, working to suppress the fire & search the home for potential victims. Firefighters on the roof performed vertical ventilation, which assisted in limiting the fires spread & increasing survivability inside the structure. Within 10 minutes of arrival firefighters were successful in knocking the fire down & completing searches of the home. Three kittens were located inside the home and were reunited with the homeowners.
The fire remains under investigation by SBCoFD Investigators. No injuries to firefighters or citizens were reported. One resident was displaced by the fire.
San Bernardino County Fire responded with four Engines, a Truck Company, Medic Squad, Battalion Chief & a Fire Investigator.
