Daniel R. Munsey, Fire Chief/Fire Warden

The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District Household Hazardous Waste is committed to providing safe and efficient hazardous waste management services. As part of these services, we have established waste collection facilities throughout San Bernardino County.

The Central Facility, located in San Bernardino, includes a Materials Exchange/Reuse program where San Bernardino County residents are allowed to take up to 35 pounds a month of good useable household products and five 5-gallon buckets of recycled latex paint a month for free. Lastly, the central facility provides disposal services to San Bernardino County businesses that are eligible to use the Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) Program.

Temporary HHW collection events, oil filter exchange events, and public education events are provided throughout the year at various locations within San Bernardino County.

Call 909-382-5401 or 1-800-OILY-CAT (645-9228) to verify operating hours prior to visiting a collection center. To protect the public health and safety, please review these COVID-19 rules before arriving to a HHW facility.

San Bernardino County residents may use any of the collection facilities in the following areas.
