Summary:
Last night San Bernardino County Fire crews were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 5900 block of Guthrie St, San Bernardino. 911 callers stated smoke from the roof of a home.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the attic space of a two-story residential home. Crews initiated a fire attack, working to perform a search for potential victims and to confine the fire. Truck crews went to the roof, working to ventilate the attic space & lift the smoke from the structure.
Within 25 minutes of arrival the fire was knocked down. Crews transitioned to overhaul & salvage operations. All searches of the home came up negative. A fire investigator was summoned to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
No injuries to firefighters or citizens were reported.
San Bernardino County Fire responded with four Engines, a Truck Company, Medic Squad, Battalion Chief and a Fire Investigator.
