Chief Munsey believes strongly in being active and involved in community service, ensuring department diversity, hiring from our communities, and working in collaboration with other agencies to ensure public safety.
San Bernardino County Fire is proud to offer the “Blue Envelope Program.” The Blue Envelope may contain an individual’s identification, emergency contact information, communication, or accommodation information, or pertinent vehicle operating documents such as vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
The program is intended to promote inclusivity and serve as an enhanced communication tool between first responders and community members diagnosed with a condition or disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dementia, Anxiety, or other conditions, during a law enforcement interaction and/or an emergency.
HOW IT WORKS
Participants in the Blue Envelope Program can display the Blue Envelope logo on their vehicle, wear or display Blue Envelope outreach material, and/or present the provided Blue Envelope when interacting with law enforcement or emergency personnel. This initiative provides an opportunity for enhanced communication and accommodation.
