Daniel R. Munsey, Fire Chief/Fire Warden
Chief Munsey believes strongly in being active and involved in community service, ensuring department diversity, hiring from our communities, and working in collaboration with other agencies to ensure public safety.
The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (#SBCoFD), in cooperation with the San Bernardino County Public Works, Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council, Wrightwood Fire Safe Council are offering wood chipping throughout the mountain communities prior to the summer and fall, when the threat of wildfire is elevated. In an effort to bolster safety in these areas, these agencies will assist residents in maintaining wildfire safety in their communities.
Residents are invited to bring cut brush and branches, limbs up to 15″ in diameter and 10′ in length. Limbs and brush only. Leaves and pine needles cannot be chipped. Chipping is available at no charge.
#SBCoFD encourages residents to get prepared for wildfire weather. For safety tips, including creating your Ready! Set! Go! Personal Wildfire Action Plan, visit https://sbcfire.co/ReadySetGoFire
