This morning at 2:38 San Bernardino County Fire (SBCoFD) crews were dispatched a reported residential structure fire in the 600 block of West Street in Upland.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a single-story home. Crews initiated an offensive fire attack, utilizing a truck crew to vertically ventilate. Vertical ventilation aids in victim survivability and visibility inside the home. The fire was knocked down in approximately 20 minutes.
All searches of the home came up negative. The home, vacant at the time of the fire received heavy damage. A 25TU#SBCoFDU25T Fire Investigator responded to complete a cause and origin investigation.
San Bernardino County Fire responded witness 4 Engines, a Truck Company, a Battalion Chief, and a Fire Investigator. Rancho Cucamonga Fire provided 1 Engine.
