Along with responding to calls, the strategic planning process is part of the San Bernardino County Protection District’s commitment to providing the best service possible to our community.
The demands on emergency and non-emergency services is increasing rapidly like never before. The resources that are available to meet these demands are limited. Therefore, in order to responsibly manage a fire service organization into the future, strategic goals, objectives and action items need to be established, along with performance measurements for accomplishing them. In this way, through the strategic planning process, the SBCoFPD can know where we are at and where we need to be 5 years into the future.
It’s the public within this County that know better than us what good service looks like. This is why we are reaching out to our stakeholders – local community groups, neighborhood associations, businesses, cooperating agency partners, and others – to get feedback as to what we are doing right and what we need to improve. In order to collect this feedback, the SBCoFPD has deployed an online survey. After analyzing the results of the survey, in-person work sessions will also be held, with time locations and times to be announced soon.
