The 2021 San Manuel Charitable Giving Grant, awarded by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, has awarded a grant of $99,746 to the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCoFD). This grant will significantly enhance County Fire’s firefighting capabilities through the acquisition of essential gear and equipment for the newly established Harrison Canyon Hand Crew 7.
Crew 7 will focus on fire mitigation and suppression efforts. This dedicated crew will engage in hazardous vegetation removal activities, effectively reducing the risk and intensity of vegetation fires. By investing in advanced gear and equipment, County Fire aims to enhance the crew’s effectiveness in combating wildfires and protecting the community.
