On March 23, 2025, San Bernardino County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in the City of San Bernardino. Medic Engine 222 arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the attached garage. Assessing the scene, crews initiated a transitional attack, knocking down the flames from the exterior to slow the fire’s spread while ensuring safer conditions for interior operations.

Once rapid intervention crews were in place, fire attack teams made quick entry into the home, attacking the fire from the uninvolved areas toward the seat of the fire. Their coordinated efforts successfully contained the blaze to the garage, preventing further extension into the residence. Thanks to their quick action and strategic firefighting tactics, damage was minimized, and no injuries were reported.
