Lake Fire – Public Information Update(June 29, 2025 – Midday)The Lake Fire remains 477 acres and 10% contained, with forward progress stopped. Firefighters continue to strengthen containment lines and mop up remaining hot spots using both ground crews and aerial resources. Evacuation orders and road closures remain in effect for the impacted areas.Recreators who were evacuated from the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area may now retrieve personal belongings and vehicles by going to the road closure checkpoint at Highway 138 and Highway 173 in Hesperia. Please be prepared to show identification and follow directions from law enforcement personnel on site.
