Firefighters from Station 12 in San Antonio Heights responded to a call for help when a family could hear kittens “meowing” in what sounded like the attic. When they arrived and went up into the attic, the kittens were nowhere to be found. Firefighters then climbed onto the roof of the 2-story home, where they were able to remove a roof tile and cut into the crawl area where they located the litter of kittens huddled together awaiting their mother’s return. The kittens were rescued and taken by the residents to the Upland Animal Shelter for future care.
