January 19, 2022
- Engineer David Spink from the Barstow Fire Protection District passed away on January 9, 2022, from injuries sustained when he was struck by a vehicle on December 5, 2021 while providing emergency care to victims of a traffic collision on Interstate 15 in Barstow.
- Firefighter Jonathan Flagler from the Los Angeles County Fire Department lost his life in the line of duty battling a residential structure fire in Rancho Palos Verdes on January 6, 2022.
