Summary:
This afternoon San Bernardino County Fire crews were dispatched to a reported commercial fire near the intersection of West Baseline and North Mount Vernon, San Bernardino. Numerous 911 callers stated fire from a commercial occupancy.
Crews quickly arrived to find smoke and fire showing from a medium sized commercial occupancy. Arriving firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack, working to limit the fires spread & check for any potential victims. Truck companies worked on the roof completing vertical ventilation operations. Forcible entry challenges complicated firefighting efforts.
The fire was quickly knocked down within 15 minutes of arriving on scene. All searches of the occupancy came up negative. No injuries to citizens or firefighters were reported. The fire remains under investigation.
San Bernardino County Fire responded with five Engines, two Truck Companies, a Battalion Chief and a Fire Investigator.
