San Bernardino County Fire Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Training Officer John Commander was presented with two awards by the State EMS authority on January 21st. John received the Educational Achievement Award and the Service Achievement Award for his dedication and service to the education of EMS providers. Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel are trained to provide stabilizing and lifesaving care to our citizens. In addition to his recognition and award, John received two specialized lapels that may be worn on his uniform honoring his years of service.
